High School Science

Due to retirement, the Mid-Buchanan R-V School District has an opening for high school science starting in the 2024-25 school year.  Courses being taught with this position may include, but are not limited to, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.  The district recently also added ‘Project Lead the Way’ Engineering.  It is the hope of the district that the candidate will also continue this program.  All PLTW training would be paid by the district.  The district recently completed construction projects which included two brand new, state of the art, science laboratories.

Paraprofessional 

Paraprofessional applicants will assist a certified teacher in planning and implementing instructional practices with individual children or small groups; maintain a safe and supportive instructional environment, monitor and report student progress, and communicate and collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure students obtain quality instruction in a nurturing environment. As well as other duties assigned by building administration.

Applicants must have 60 college hours or pass the para pro praxis to be eligible for the position. Licensed Clinical Social Worker

The Mid-Buchanan R-V School District is accepting applications for a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker in an effort to continue offering students and staff a comprehensive social emotional health program that meets the individual needs of anyone needing this support. Appropriate licensing must be secured prior to the start of employment. The position is a 10-month position beginning in August of 2024. Salary will be commensurate to experience. The position will also include full benefits. Athletic/Activities Director

The Mid-Buchanan R-V School District is accepting applications for the position of Athletic/Activities Director. The primary focus areas for this position are organizing, scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing all athletic and activity programs; contracting all game officials; scheduling transportation for all athletics and activities; evaluation of all head coaches/program sponsors; serve as the district’s MSHSAA liaison, supervision of home and away events; lunchroom supervision; ISS supervision; and other duties as assigned. The position is a 10.5-month contract. Salary will be commensurate to experience. Special Education Teacher

Qualifications are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education.

  • Missouri Teaching Certification in Special Education.

  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.

  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individualized student needs.

  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
