Dear Seniors and Parents,
Your senior year will be one filled with many important celebrations, some of which you will
want to share with friends and family, the most important of these is your graduation. We
spent part of the time in the Senior Class meeting designing a unique graduation
announcement especially for Mid Buchanan and the class of 2027. The 2027 Mid Buchanan
High School graduation announcement is truly a culmination of talent, commitment and
determination that represents our school, our graduation ceremony, and the entire senior
class.
In an effort to provide quality service to the senior class, and their families, during the meeting
on September 8th we will speak to the perspective graduates about the graduation experience on
that special day, how a cap and gown should fit and distribute order information.
Please take some time to ask your senior about the graduation meeting and start planning for
this spring. If you have any questions, please contact the Jostens team at 816-523-4900. Orders
will be turned in on Wednesday, September 16th before school.
Your faculty and staff at Mid Buchanan High School are incredibly proud of each of you and we

Tomorrow, August 29th, we host the KCI Volleyball Tournament! We will be using both gyms with the first games starting at 8:00am. Pool play will be in the morning with bracket play beginning in the afternoon. All games in the HS gym will be livestreamed on the MB Dragon Pride YouTube.

What an incredible first day of school!
From the second the doors opened, our buildings were filled with excitement, energy, collaboration, and plenty of Dragon pride! It was a great reminder that Mid-Buchanan is Built on Commitment—a commitment to our students, to one another, and to making this school year the very best it can be.
Our junior high and high school students kicked off the year with fun walk-up song introductions to their teachers. Our fifth graders spent time collaborating and discussing how they want their peers and teachers to treat one another, helping set the tone for a positive and respectful school year. Meanwhile, our newest Dragons in kindergarten received tours of the building as they began their exciting journey at Mid-Buchanan!
Across the district, students were reconnecting with friends, meeting new teachers, learning new routines, and beginning another year filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.
The first day was a Dragon success, and we can’t wait to see all the great things ahead!
