9th graders began building their Individual Career and Academic Plans (ICAP) today with Mrs. Zabel. They researched their personal interests, looked at budgeting for their future, and discovered salaries to fit their future lifestyle. The ICAP outlines post secondary education and career planning, and also includes their 4-year high school plan to help them become productive citizens in society after graduation. They will continue to explore options available at MBHS and beyond to reach the goals.

The Mid-Buchanan FFA Alumni will be hosting a Turkey Shoot-Out Saturday, December 2nd from 8am-3:30pm at the Bigg's Residence: 15020 SE 43rd Service Road, Faucett, MO 64448. The entry fee is $100 per team and is due at the event in cash or check before the team is allowed to participate. The maximum number of shooters per team is FIVE and each shooter will have 50 targets. The winning team will receive a frozen turkey for each shooter. Our school counseling team attended the Missouri School Counselor Association's annual conference. They attended sessions to gain more knowledge and skills to better serve our students and community.
