Join us tomorrow, August 22nd, at West Platte for the Football Jamboree! Start time is 6:00 PM. West Platte will be accepting donations of Gatorade as an entry fee to support the West Platte Quarterback Club. See you there!
We did it! We welcomed so many smiling faces (along with some parents!) to start our 2025-26 school year. We have witnessed some amazing things going on in each classroom already!
A few pick up reminders:
We will dismiss at 12:00. For parent pick up, please watch for directions from staff members on where to turn and when to pull forward. It's a new year! Help us learn your cars and names by rolling the window down for us to ask. Remain IN YOUR VEHICLE. We will open the door and help the little ones in. Please pull forward and off to the side to buckle them in, if needed. This helps keep the line moving. We know many will be parent pick up, so we thank you in advance for your patience!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 20 is the FIRST DAY of school. Here are a few reminders:
1. Parents are welcome to walk students to class. We will open doors at 7:35. Please have a STATE ISSUED PHOTO ID to scan if you are walking your child to the classroom. We do ask that you exit the building by 7:50, so we can get the day rolling.
2. We dismiss at 12:00. Please ensure you have shared transportation with teachers and office staff.
3. We WILL be serving lunch, but a tad early. It's CHICKEN PATTY DAY!
4. Bus times have been posted and updated. We appreciate your patience as our drivers learn the routes!

Mid-Buchanan hosted 105 incredible paraprofessionals today for our 3rd Annual Para Bootcamp — and it was nothing short of amazing.
We had the BEST speakers pouring into our paras, sharing tools, strategies, and encouragement.
Even more special — paras traveled from 13 different districts to be here today, all committed to learning and growing in the work they do every single day.

The Fall Activities Parent-Student meeting will take place on August 10th at 5:00pm in the main gym. This will include new and relevant information regarding activities this year. This will also give a chance to meet with coaches and sponsors before the year begins. Be there if you can!
Missouri's Senate Bill 68 will change our cell phone/personal device policy at MB. These personal devices will not be allowed at any time during the school day in alignment with the bill signed by our Governor this summer. We appreciate your help as we work to ensure we make the most of our time at school!
Online registration is open! Login to your parent portal to update your information, upload proof of residency and complete lunch forms, handbook information, etc. We encourage all families to complete the lunch forms, as it can open more opportunities for our students.
