While learning about King Tut and Ancient Egypt, students dove deep into the fascinating world of pharaohs, pyramids, and preservation. Inspired by the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb and ancient embalming rituals, they put their skills and knowledge to the test by creating mimi mummies with pumpkins. 🏺👑
Using salt, baking soda, and a little bit of ancient wisdom, the class explored how the Egyptians preserved their dead, connecting science, culture, and creativity in one unforgettable project. Let's just say...King Tut would be very proud of their junior embalmers!
The learning doesn't stop here! Tomorrow is another IMMERSIVE trip into history with a VR tour of the PYRAMIDS!

Through this process, students are not only producing healthy, nutritious food—up to 25 pounds of harvest every 4 weeks—but also learning firsthand how agriculture is evolving with new technology and sustainable practices.

The junior high choir turned the stairwell into a concert hall yesterday!
Their harmonies filled the space, quickly attracting a crowd as students and staff gathered at the “sound booth” to enjoy the music.
What an impressive display of talent from our Dragons!

This year, our students have the opportunity to become social media experts through our brand-new Digital Media class.
Students will share, create, and communicate district events throughout the year—giving you a behind-the-scenes look at MB through their eyes. From game day posts to special projects, their creativity is already shining!
Be sure to follow along on Facebook at @MBDragonMedia to see their work in action!

Also, our PTO will begin our Cookie Dough Fundraiser with a kickoff assembly at 2 pm today. Be on the lookout for paperwork coming home today.

We were joined by students and staff from East Buchanan, Plattsburg, Polo, Cameron, West Platte, and Lathrop who all came together to practice football skills like passing, kicking, punting, and running drills.
Beyond the field, students enjoyed valuable social time, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to build teamwork and confidence. Events like these remind us how powerful inclusion, friendship, and shared experiences can be.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible—we’re already looking forward to next year! 🏈

She was nominated by a parent who shared how much her kindness, patience, and love have meant to their child. She goes above and beyond every day to make sure he feels included, introduces him to others around the school, and helps him build connections that make him feel like he truly belongs. Most importantly, she sees how capable he is—and that belief means the world to his family.

Thank You!
