A huge congratulations to Lexi Beloate, Kimmy Stephens, and Landan Springs for being accepted into the 2026 Northwest Missouri All District Choir. These students went to MoWest on Saturday and competitively auditioned against singers from schools all over Northwest Missouri. Based on their talent as singers and music readers, they were selected from large groups of auditionees to participate in this year’s 2026 NW All District Choir which will be performing a concert with over 200 students on Saturday, October 24th, at Platte County High School. #BeADragon
REMINDER: The HS football jersey auction is tonight at 6:30pm on the track. The effigy burning and senior hill painting will follow.
Tuesday, September 15, 2026 is Mid Buchanan's All American Literacy Night, celebrating GENERATIONS! Grandparent's Day will be celebrated in the evening this year, so each student is asked to bring a GRAND adult in their life, and celebrate literacy with us. Our Book Fair is open from 4:00-7:00 pm, with literacy activities from 4:30-6:00 pm, with dinner being served at 5:30 pm.
Parents! Ms. Paige Burns will be at our Literacy Night to share with you information about our School Wide Title Program. Visit our website to learn more then stop by to see Ms. Burns for even more information.
Tonight's HS softball game at Cameron has been cancelled due to wet field conditions. A make-up date is TBD.
Tomorrow, 9/14/26, is a late start. School will begin at 8:50 am.
Ms. Bunch's anatomy students completed a pickle dissection as a hands-on activity to practice and strengthen their dissection skills. The activity allowed the student to work on proper instrument handling, making careful and precise incisions, and following a systematic approach to dissection. It was a fun and engaging way to reinforce the techniques used in anatomy while giving the students an opportunity to build confidence and hands-on laboratory skills.
