Congratulations to all FCCLA students who competed in STAR events yesterday. STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) is a competitive event where members demonstrate leadership, career preparation, and Family and Consumer Sciences by creating projects focused on family, career, or community issues.

Thirteen members presented at the STAR events, and TEN members qualified for the State, which will be held in March. Outstanding work to all students who participated in the STAR events, and thank you to Mrs. Wilmes for providing support and guidance to the students.

We are proud to congratulate Hannah on being selected as a finalist in the 2026 Cotillion for Achievement!

The Cotillion for Achievement is a volunteer-run youth development and scholarship program for high school seniors in Buchanan and Andrew Counties. The program emphasizes leadership training, etiquette, personal growth, and community involvement, helping students prepare for post-secondary success. Hannah will attend a formal dinner and an awards assembly in February.

Join us tonight and tomorrow for the Mid-Buchanan HS Wrestling Tournaments! Girls begin tonight at 5:00pm. Boys will start at 9:00am tomorrow morning.

We will also do our Senior Night ceremonies at the tournaments. The girl's ceremony will take place at 4:45 today. The boy's will be during the lunch break tomorrow at about noon.

Admission: Adults - $6, Students - $5. No passes will be accepted.

Our students will be broadcasting the tournaments so make sure to tune in if you can't make it! Go Dragons!

We are excited to announce the upcoming Preschool Screening for students residing in our district. Screening will take place in the old Elementary School Library on February 24th. Please call 816-238-1646 to schedule your child's screening.
Please ensure you bring the following documents to the screening:
Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill or lease agreement)
Birth certificate or other proof of your child's age
Immunization records
Any legal documentation regarding custody or guardianship (if applicable)
